Motion Detectors

Motion detectors are used to detect the entry of a stranger to the facility. There are many types of detectors. These are: passive infrared sensors, ultrasonic motion detectors, microwave motion detectors.

Passive infrared sensors see infrared radiation in their field of view. All objects above absolute zero emit infrared radiation. When an object moves in the field of view, the sensor detects a change in infrared radiation and transmits a signal.

Ultrasonic motion detectors use ultrasonic waves to detect motion. The sensor emits ultrasonic pulses (sound waves) and then listens for the reflection of these pulses from nearby objects. The movement of the object in the field of view of the detector causes a change in the reflected waves. The detector detects changes in sound waves and sends a signal.
